2-4-26   THOUGHTS

I absolutely love the idea that “God longs to be gracious to us”!  The end of that verse says we are blessed as we long for him.  God is our Teacher.  He is present and active in our lives if I read this correctly!  We must put away the thoughts and things of this world.  There is “gladness of heart” here.  We must  “go to the mountain of the LORD, to the Rock of Israel.”  

Isa 30:18-29    Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him...  
20b    He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher.  21  Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left.  22  And you will defile your graven images overlaid with silver, and your molten images plated with gold....          
29  You will have songs as in the night when you keep the festival, And gladness of heart as when one marches to the sound of the flute, To go to the mountain of the LORD, to the Rock of Israel.
 
Our Prayer:
You are an awesome God and we lift You up with grateful thanksgiving.  Hallelujah Praise Jehovah. Guide our thoughts and lives to Yourself, O Father.  May we flee to the Rock of Israel continually.  May we see Your Way clearly, and may we follow Your way always.  Give us songs in the night and gladness of heart as we stretch for a closer  walk with You.  It’s in the name of our Lord that we pray,   Amen.
